Personal Finance

ATprojects also conducts a Personal Finance training course for anybody who needs to “UNDERSTAND” how to use money. People need to have the basic skills to control what happens in their future. For people in the development sector the question is “how can people look after projects funds, if they cannot look after their own funds?” So may be its time to develop the basic skills we all need to look after our own money! And it’s not that difficult if people just sit down and think about how much money they have and what they are going to spend it on. Over a two day course ATprojects will help people to look at how they use their money now and how they can use it better in the future.

Course Overview
The aim of this short course is to start the process of getting people (your staff or clients) to think critically about the way they use their money, as most people only think about money when they have none! First let’s take one thing very clear; there are no “experts” that can make their money problems disappear. But by working together we can develop a better understanding of what can be done to develop a PERSONAL BUDGET or ‘MONEY PLAN for people and their families. If we are to develop a budget then people MUST know how they currently spend their money and where they can make changes to use it better and this course will show them how to do this. Areas to be covered in this course are:

What is “Money”?
Understanding what money can and cannot do for people

How a typical family earns and spends money
This will surprise everyone!

How you spend your money
This will also shock everyone!

Simple income and expenditure statements
Provide people with a real picture of yourselves.

Simple bookkeeping
A tool to help people understand themselves better.

Bank accounts
The good and bad side of what the Banks say they offer people. If you think that you, your staff or clients would benefit from this training course contact ATprojects. Remember it’s never too late to learn about money.
